He’s back home in Trinidad from a recent business trip to India and first on Machel Montano’s agenda this morning was the launch of the Anti-Bullying association of Trinidad and Tobago. The launch of the initiative which took place this morning at the Moruga Secondary School in Basse Terre, Trinidad, came after 11-year-old, Jeromy Rodriguez who won this year’s Flavorite Supreme Ice-Cream National Schools Soca Monarch competition, decided to start the campaign with his 2013 winnings. Montano along with businessman and former National Security Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Jack Warner and the owners of Ravi’s Rentals, funded the campaign.

Montano said he too was bullied as a boy- having been called, Trophey Head.

This morning, Montano, via social media said he too was bullied as a young boy. “Speaking from the heart . I was bullied ..called” Trophy Head ” in school …won a lot of trophies since then!,” he posted on Instagram during the ceremony. He was wearing a t-shirt in support of the cause.

Young Jeromy who attends St Mary’s Government Primary School in Moruga, Trinidad, wrote the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) last week. His ambitious move is one that we here at ETCETERABUZZ.COM stand firmly in support of.
